It’s a camp that has been around for 43 years, the only thing that has changed is its ownership. William Fleming alumni Ramon and Damon Williams have run TWIN Hoops camp for 23 years, keeping alive the camp they attended when they were kids. The goal of this camp is not just to give back to the community, but to teach children that there is more to life than basketball and that it is more than just a game.

Damon says, “Well you know a lot of it goes back to setting goals you know as youngsters we dream about playing at higher levels as athletes whatever sport it may be but at the same time it’s a game of life too, so we have to be able to understand that there are wins and loses in a basketball game but there are also wins and loses in the game of life.”

His brother Ramon enjoys the connection he makes with the campers, “people have trusted what we’ve done with their children and trusted us with them growing up.”

If you missed the week one session of camp there is still time to sign up for session two, which takes place from July 29 – August 2nd. For more information visit their website
