Lynchburg, VA(WFXR)-While there’s still lots of questions whether football will be played this fall,
the Liberty Flames might have a slight advantage in preparing for the season during a pandemic after their head coach dealt with his own medical issues.
Last year, Hugh Freeze suffered back spasms and underwent surgery for a life-threatening staph infection. The illness sidelined him for much of fall camp and the first few weeks of the season. Technology helped Freeze through much of that time. Now with players forced to social distance while coaches meet virtually — he’s applying some lessons from his own personal experience.
