ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – It was a tough for many teams from the region in the NCAA Div. III men’s lacrosse tournament. Saturday the Roanoke men’s lacrosse team fell 14-8 against Gettysburg ending their season in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The Maroons finished the season 13-7 overall and 8-2 in conference play.

In Schenectady, New York the University of Lynchburg hit the field over at Union College against Western New England. This is the first time in four meetings the Golden Bears emerged victorious, as the Hornets fell to Western New England 14-10 in the second round of the tournament. Lynchburg finished with a 15-5 record and went 9-1 in conference play.

Over at Sea Gull Stadium the Washington & Lee men’s lacrosse team saw their season end in Salisbury, Maryland Saturday afternoon. Cabrini University was able to defeat the generals 14-8. Washington & Lee finished year 12-7 overall and were undefeated in conference play.
