RADFORD, Va. (WFXR) — Radford University has announced that its men’s basketball Head Coach, Darris Nichols will resume his duties as Head Coach of the men’s basketball team on Monday, March 6.
Nichols was charged with a DUI and sentenced on Feb. 23. According to court documents, Nichols was fined $2,500, sentenced to 180 days in jail with 178 days suspended, and his driver’s license was suspended for a year.
Shane Nichols will remain as Acting Head Coach for the duration of the programs run through the Big South Championship from March 3 through March 5. The third-seeded Highlanders begin postseason play on Friday, March 3.
