PH’s Savannah Derey and Glenvar’s Reese Dunkenberger among local athletes signing NLIs

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Several local athletes signed their National Letter of Intent for college. Patrick Henry lacrosse/basketball player Savannah Derey signed to play lacrosse at JMU. Glenvar swimmer Reese Dunkenberger signed to swim at Tulane.

Over at Jefferson Forest several athletes signed to go to college. Hannah Cooper: Concord University DII (Girls Soccer), Emma Lemley: Virginia Tech DI (Softball), Connor Maggi: Gardner Webb University DI (Baseball), Taylor Mason: Liberty University DI (Girls Soccer), Cassell Richardson: Newberry College DII (Girls Lacrosse), Carter Shipp: Lander University DII (Wrestling), Spencer Williams: Gardner Webb University DI (Baseball).

On National Letter of Intent Signing Day, two senior members of the Carlisle School baseball team committed to playing for college teams. Addison Clark signed to play for Virginia Military Institute, and Garret Kangas signed to play for Campbell University.

Lord Botetourt basketball/soccer player Brianna Myers signed to play soccer at Liberty University.

William Byrd had 3 baseball players sign for college. Tyler Dean and Dylan Hatfield is going to play at Virginia Tech. Isaac Fix is off to Davidson College.
