ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) – On May 20th, the North Cross School boys lacrosse team defeated Virginia Episcopal School 15-6 Saturday afternoon to claim the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) division two championship. This was the third consecutive win for the Raiders, and according to North Cross boys lacrosse coach Chris Pollock this is something that has never been done.

“These guys they’ve made history this is the first time in school history that we’ve won a three-peat in any sport it will be with them forever.”

For North Cross senior attack Ian Cann, this win is something he’ll cherish for the rest of his life.

“It feels great a three peat senior year, especially with these guys we’ve been together since 7th grade and we’ve always dreamed of winning a state championship and we didn’t ever think we were going to win three. But this is just an amazing feeling it’s great for the school and it’s history made so it’s an awesome feeling.”

The Raiders finished the regular season 13-7 overall and went undefeated in division play.
