ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (WFXR) — Hidden Valley freshman volleyball player Caleigh Ponn along with her beach volleyball team Emma White won a big time honor over the weekend in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Ponn and White won the junior nationals girls gold 14 and under beach volleyball title. Ponn has been playing beach volleyball for the past few years. She says she loves the game whether she is playing on court or in the sand. “I play indoor and beach. Beach has been like my second sport to do it. And we went down there, it was so much fun. It was a chance of a life time in my opinion. It was hot it was horrible and it wasn’t perfect. We kinda made it work. It was awesome. Playing in the middle stage in front of everyone and having all of it. It is something you might nit see ever again in my life. To experience that and win this. I could not have asked for this to be any better,” said Ponn. Ponn says playing beach volleyball is a great preparation for the upcoming high school volleyball season. Teams will begin practice a week from Monday.
