LYNCHBURG, Va. – The University of Lynchburg Men’s Lacrosse team defeated Pfeiffer University 26-11 in the NCAA Division III Lacrosse Tournament. During the contest the Hornets up-tempo offense took 70 shots on goal. According to Lynchburg Junior Attacker Ryan Kenney setting the tone of the game was key.
“I think it’s always important to come out swinging and I think that’s something that we harp on as a team and I think that’s something that we take pride in. Especially with the transition we practice playing a fast game and just doing what we do. If it’s not there we settle down and run our offense but when the ball is moving we just keep going and going,” says Kenney.
The Hornets who also play host to the 2021 NCAA Division III Tournament will play Stevens Institute of Technology in round two of the tournament at 2 p.m. at Shellenberger Field in Lynchburg.
