CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WFXR) – Friday night the Virginia Tech baseball team fell to North Carolina 10-0 in the ACC Tournament. The Hokies looking to put last night’s surprising loss in the rearview. It was the most lopsided result against the Hokies all season, and the first time this year Virginia Tech have been shutout.

“We really have not experienced a defeat like that, since really all I can remember. It’s a tough pill to swallow…not obviously the start we would get out of Drew Hackenberg but after playing 53 games, I don’t think our guys need a wake up call, they can get their own wake up call,” says Virginia Tech head baseball coach John Szefc.
