William Fleming’s Shakara Anderson and Cave Spring’s Zada Porter and Suzanne Harris sign to go to college

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — William Fleming’s Shakara Anderson also signed on the dotted line Friday – over at William Fleming High School. She’ll be taking her talents on the basketball court over to Gardner-Webb University. For the past two seasons she’s led the Colonels in rebounding. During the 2019 season she averaged 17 points and 9 rebounds per game. Anderson was also named to the VHSL Class-5 all state team.

Over at Cave Spring High Hchool, Za-Da porter signed with Appalachian State to play basketball.
While Suzanne Harris signed with James Madison university to swim. Porter made the first team All-Timesland for Cave Spring during the 2019-2020 season. During her junior year, Porter was named the River Ridge District co-player of the year. Harris – is a Class 3 state champion in the 200 meter individual medley – and looks to study English over at JMU.
