Matthew Saunders resigns as Radford High School head football coach

RADFORD, Va. (WFXR) — Friday Night Blitz high school football coaching news, after 14 seasons as the head football coach of the Radford Bobcats, Matthew Saunders announced he is resigning as head coach. Saunders had a record of 96-65 at Radford. Radford is the blue print of high school football coaching stability. Since 1970, there will be only 3 head football coaches in the program. Norman Lineburg was head coach from 1970-2006 and Saunders followed Coach Lineburg in 2007.
