ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — It is Unsung Hero time and this week’s honorees are the 1973 Patrick Henry Patriots football team as they won the VHSL Group AAA state title.
They were recognized during Friday night’s PH home game. This team went 13-0 by outscoring their opponents that season 400-28. If you are keeping score they won their games by an average score of 31-2. They shut out 10 teams. In fact, in their three playoff wins they didn’t give up a point.
