(WFXR) — Sports Director Jermaine Ferrell sits down with second-year head coach Jimmy Fisher as the Craig County Rockets prepare for the 2022 season.

The Rockets went 3-7 in Fisher’s first year with the team, dealing with equipment shortages and COVID issues.

“Just like life, you make do with what you got so you just do the best you can in every situation in life and let the chips fall where they may,” Fisher said. “I think we’ve handled the adversities that were handed to us last year with COVID and equipment issues like a champ and just kept on plugging.”

Craig County will see seven starters returning, four on offense and three on defense. The Rockets will play just four home games this season. After their opener against Bland County, they will be on the road for five of the next six games.

The Rockets seek their first winning season since 2005.
