Friday Night Blitz Preseason Tour-Roanoke Catholic Celtics

Friday Night Blitz

VINTON, Va. (WFXR) — We shine the spotlight on the Friday Night Blitz preseason tour as we check out the Roanoke Catholic Celtics. Bob Price’s crew was one of the few programs that didn’t play a game last season due to concerns of COVID. The Celtics are one of the best teams in the area. They look to get back into the game after dealing with the long layoff. “Emotionally, it was. We want to compete and we want to practice. We want to be with these boys. We didn’t have the opportunity and it was tough on us. We lost a lot of continuity as far as that goes. Some of our young men goes from to now they are being the senior. We have to rely on them to be the leader. That is a huge jump for them,” said Price. “It is very special. I have been here since I was a freshman. They are my family right here. I love Roanoke Catholic. It is real special. My freshman year we won the state championship. We want to come out here and do it again and keep it going,” said senior Marquis Adams. Roanoke Catholic opens up the season Friday at the Alleghany Mountaineers.
