Danville, Va.-native Hermann Moore will join Virginia Tech’s Eddie Royal and 12 others in this year’s class of 2018 ACC Football Legends.
Moore, a former wide receiver at the University of Virginia, played for the Cavaliers from 1987-1990. A two-time All-American under head coach George Welsh, Moore caught for 1,190 yards in his senior season, setting an ACC record for yards in a single season. His 1,190 yards remains a UVA school record, along with his 13 touchdown catches.
Moore was a first-round selection by the Detroit Lions in the 1991 NFL Draft and would go on to play 12 seasons in the NFL.
This year’s class will be honored during the ACC Night of Legends in Charlotte on Friday, Nov. 30 and will also be recognized on the field before the ACC Football Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Bank of America Stadium.
