Henry Brabham memorialized at the Lancerlot Sports Complex

VINTON, Va. (WFXR) – Local icon Henry J. Brabham IV was honored at the Lancerlot Sports Complex in Vinton. Earlier this year the “Godfather of Hockey,” passed away in March at the age of 90. A free memorial service and celebration of life was held inside the sports complex. Brabham built the facility back in 1984. Even though Brabham may be gone, his legacy continues to live on.

According to his wife Sarah Brabham, “Henry and I were married for 26 years he was the love of my life. He still is I still have his picture hanging by my bed. I still tell him goodnight every night. He was a good husband, a good father, a good father to my children, and to all of our grandchildren. He was definitely well loved.”
