Liberty improved to 5-0 in ASUN play after a 70-64 win over North Florida on Saturday night at the Vines Center.
The Flames trailed at the half for the first time in conference play this season but limited the Ospreys to five points in the final five minutes of the game. North Florida went 1-for-9 from the field in that time span and committed three turnovers.
Scottie James led Liberty with 18 points as the Flames improved to 16-4 overall and 9-0 at home for the first time in a decade. Liberty is now tied for its best start in conference play, matching the Flames’ 5-0 start in Big South competition in 2011.
