Preseason practices are now underway for Liberty football as the Flames get set for their inaugural season competing at the FBS level.
As the team prepares to face a much higher level of competition with the likes of UVA and Auburn on the schedule in 2018, the players have come up with a new motto for the upcoming campaign — “Respect all. Fear none.”
“I think it’s pretty self explanatory when you hear those phrases right there and those words. Pretty simple but it’s very powerful in what it means and what is stands for,” head coach Turner Gill said. “We always talk about respecting every one that we want to get done as far as on the football field, talking about off the football field, talking about in the classroom. We’re talking about in this entire community.”
Liberty opens the 2018 campaign at home against Old Dominion on September 1.
