The number of Virginia Tech Hokies on the Redskins roster grew to four this past week as linebacker Dadi Nicolas signed with the team.
“I mean words can’t explain how grateful I am for the opportunity and the culture here and that I am closer here to Virginia Tech with my former Hokies,” Nicolas said. “Once a Hokie, always a Hokie.”
Nicolas arrives in Richmond for training camp after stints with the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks.
And with the brotherhood of Hokies at Redskins training camp, he is excited to be a part of the Hokie brotherhood.
“Hokies, we are people of pride. It feels great,” Nicolas said. “It feels like I am back at Tech again.”
With the linebacking corps anchoring the Redskins defense, “Big Dadi” knows he can fit in and make an impact.
“I don’t have to do anything special except be myself. But as a group, I feel we are a brotherhood,” Nicolas said. “I think competition is only good for each other. It will keep everyone sharp and on our toes.”
