LEXINGTON, Va. (WFXR) — For a dozen years now, Washington & Lee women’s lacrosse has proven to be the best in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.

The Generals captured their 12th straight ODAC title after defeating Roanoke, 11-5, in the final on Sunday in Lexington.

Hannah Bishop scored a career-high six goals to help W&L win its 22nd overall conference championship.

“You know I think we’re finally getting our feet back under us after COVID so this is the first year it’s felt normal again. It does feel great to do this,” Washington and Lee head coach Brooke Diamond O’Brien said.

“Really our seniors are the only one who’ve had a normal year when they were first years so it’s been important to lay the foundation for our culture and how we do things and who we are so to win an ODAC championship is just a piece of that.”
