LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — No. 4 Lynchburg rolled to an 18-8 win over No. 16 Hampden-Sydney Thursday in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament semifinals.
The host and second-seeded Hornets used a huge second-quarter run, out-scoring the visiting Tigers 7-2 in the period, to take a commanding six-goal halftime lead. Lynchburg then opened the game up with three more goals in the third and five, including a 4-0 run, in the fourth.
Trammel Robinson scored four goals and an assist while Dylan Wolfe added three goals in the victory, which advanced the Hornets to the ODAC championship.
Lynchburg will travel to face Washington & Lee on Saturday in the final at 5 p.m. The two teams split the regular season series with a win each.
