LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The Liberty Flames football team is 4-1 on the season after a 38-24 win over Old Dominion last Saturday in Norfolk. LU is happy to be 4-1 and two wins away from bowl eligibility…the also feel they have to work on the miscues to be an even better ball club.

“There is no doubt, the defensive staff wasn’t happy with me, nor was I happy with our play in critical downs. But in the locker room I said, listen we will get it fixed, I am not happy with what we did on these critical 4th downs, But it is sure a lot better to fix them when we won the game.” said Liberty Flames head coach Hugh Freeze.

The Flames stay on the road with a game at UMASS Saturday at 3:30pm
