(WFXR) — The “Historic Hokies” have done it again. This time in the WNBA draft. For the first time in program history, two Virginia Tech players were chosen on the same night.

Hokies guard Kayana Traylor heard her name first, becoming the 23rd overall pick by the Chicago Sky. Traylor averaged 12.2 points per game in the NCAA tournament, helping Tech make its first-ever Final Four. Against LSU, Traylor scored 17 points.

Five picks later, Taylor Soule got the call from the Minnesota Lynx as the 28th overall selection after a memorable graduate season in Blacksburg. The Boston College transfer started all 36 games for Virginia Tech and scored in double digits 20 times.
