LAS VEGAS, NV. (WFXR) – Late in the 6th round of the 2022 NFL Draft, a pair of Hokies were taken off the board and heard their names called Saturday evening. Tackle Luke Tenuta was selected 209th overall by Buffalo. While offensive linemen Lecitus Smith was taken 215th overall by the Arizona Cardinals. Tenuta was the first Virginia Tech offensive linemen taken in the draft, and played in 33 games for the Hokies with 25 starts. Smith started all four years at Virginia Tech and while also starting 27 games at left guard.
