ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Roanoke took game one in the SPHL President’s Cup best-of-three semifinals Wednesday against Peoria. But for Rail Yard Dawgs head coach Dan Bremner, he said his team is going to have to do a lot better on the ice if they look to move forward and progress all the way to the finals.
“When I say the first period we weren’t good enough I mean our legs weren’t good enough most of the night. Our communication wasn’t good enough most of the night our support was almost nowhere to be found. When we had opportunities to move the puck our next guy coming in for that support situation was so late that their guy would get to the puck so they played a strong game. But I think that great teams find a way to win when things aren’t going their way,” said Bremner.
Game two of the series is set for Friday at 8:15 pm in Peoria.
