ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs will be without one of their players for Friday night’s game two of the SPHL President’s Cup Finals against the Birmingham Bulls. The puck drops at 8 p.m.
The SPHL suspended Stephen Alvo for the game due to his actions on the ice during the Dawg’s 4-2 win over the Bulls. Alvo was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for boarding at 4:56 of the third period. Alvo scored a goal in the game.
