McAuliffe to give speech after winning Dem. nomination for governor in Virginia primaries

VIRGINIA (WDVM) — The Associated Press announced that Terry McAuliffe has won the Democratic nomination for governor in Virginia’s primary elections on Tuesday. He is scheduled to give a speech at 8:30 p.m.

McAuliffe, who was governor of Virginia from 2014 to 2018, could be making history as the first two-term Democratic Governor of Virginia since the Civil War. He was one of five Democrats running for the position.

Other elections are still being tallied.
