Lynchburg officials announce voting information for city residents

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Officials with the City of Lynchburg have announced voting information in the last days before Election Day on Nov. 3.

Early Voting

City residents are reminded that now is the last week for early voting. For those interested in voting early, visit the Lynchburg Registrar’s Office at 825 Kemper Street between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. until Saturday, Oct. 31. If you are planning to vote in-person, remember the following:

  • You do not need a reason to vote early or fill out an application to vote early.
  • At the Registrar’s Office, you must provide your name, address and show an acceptable form of ID or sign an ID Confirmation Statement.
  • Accessible equipment and/or curbside voting will be available upon request.

Vote In-Person at Your Regular Precinct

City polling locations will be open on Tuesday, Nov. 3 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. for voting. To find your polling place, click here.

Ballot Drop Locations

Secure drop boxes, staffed by election officials, will be available at each precinct on Election Day. In addition, residents may drop off their ballots in a secure box located inside the Registrar’s Office at 825 Kemper Street. The Registrar’s Office will be available on the same dates, times, and location listed above. Staff will come to the curbside for voters to drop off their ballots in the secure box if necessary.
