CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – A Charlottesville ordained minister and small-business owner announced his campaign for Virginia’s 5th Congressional District.

Josh Throneburg is a Democrat who was raised in a rural farming community.

He, and his wife Minhee, live in Charlottesville with their daughters Lucy and Agnes.

“I am running because now is the moment to put in the hard work and lead with the values of compassion and common sense. While other politicians focus on self-serving ambitions, I believe we can do better for our families and am determined to fight for a better tomorrow by taking on the climate crisis, revitalizing and reinvesting in our small towns, and dismantling and reforming systems of oppression.”
