BEDFORD, Va. (WFXR) – The Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a forum for candidates running in the Town Council election.

The event takes place from the Town Municipal building at 215 East Main Street in the second floor Council Chamber room on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at 6 p.m.

“The Legislative Committee of the Chamber is pleased to host this important event for our community. The forum gives voters an opportunity to hear from each candidate to understand more about each person running. This also gives each candidate a chance to tell voters what they stand for and hope to accomplish in the Town.”

Wende Gaylor, President and CEO of the Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce

The event will be live-streamed on the Chamber’s Facebook page. Those planning on attending in-person need to register by emailing BACC@baccva.org. Masks are required.

Six candidates will be answering questions from residents that were submitted for the forum.

Candidates will have time at the beginning to introduce themselves and state their platform.

Candidates invited to participate include Tim Black, Bruce Johannessen, Stacey Hailey, Bruce Hartwick, Bryan Schley and C.G. Stanley.
