Woman hit by car after being stabbed multiple times

BEDFORD, Va. (WFXR) — A woman is recovering after she was stabbed then hit by a car in the town of Bedford on the fourth of July.

Bedford Police Department says officers were called to the 600 block of Pinecrest Avenue for an active disturbance.

When authorities arrived on scene, a woman was sitting in the driver’s seat of a car and the other was bleeding from her chest.

Officials say Jeryl Turner arrived at Pinecrest Avenue with a knife and started stabbing Latasha Carper in the chest.

Turner lost control of the knife as Carper started walking into the parking lot.

Turner then got back into her car and hit Carper.

Turner was arrested on scene. Carper’s condition is unknown.
