CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — On Thursday, March 16, the Concord Volunteer Fire Department responded to the train tracks located on Mt. Anthos Rd. after reports of a person being trapped inside an overturned vehicle.

Crews arrived on the scene around 5:46 p.m. to find the car lying upright across the tracks into the wood. The driver of the vehicle made it out of the vehicle prior to the emergency responders’ arrival.  

The tracks were shut down until the car was safely removed.

There were no fluids leaking from the vehicle, and no injuries were reported. Crews remained on the scene until Virginia State Police (VSP) cleared the scene. State Police towed the vehicle.
