Undercover drug investigation leads to arrest in Henry County

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WFXR) – The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has been working on an undercover drug investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine and heroin.

With the conclusion of this investigation, on Thursday, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the Kings Court Motel at 6570 Greensboro Road in Ridgeway.

During the course of the investigation, methamphetamine and heroin was seized and will be taken to the Virginia Department of Forensic Science for analysis.

Bobby William Murphy, 41, of 6570 Greensboro Road, Ridgeway (Kings Court Motel Room 117) was arrested and charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance classified as a schedule I or II with intent to distribute.

The investigation continues and additional charges are anticipated.

Murphy is currently being held at the Henry County Jail on $3,000 secured bond.
