Two shot in Roanoke early Saturday morning

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Two men were shot early Saturday morning in Roanoke, according to police.

Roanoke Police tell WFXR News that the shooting happened around 2 a.m. in the 3600 block of Williamson Road NW.

“Responding officers observed a large crowd leaving the area,” a statement from police said. “While investigating, two adult males arrived at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital by private transportation, each with gunshot wounds.”

The men were treated for their injuries.

Roanoke Police say they do not believe there is further risk to the public and this shooting remains under investigation.
