ROANOKE COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – A truck caught fire in the Catawba section of Roanoke County, leaving a truck and a house with $50,000 in damage.

Fire crews were sent to Bending Oak Drive around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

It took crews less than an hour to get the fire under control.

Roanoke County Fire and Rescue says the truck was parked so close to the house, that the house caught fire as well.

The man who lives at the house was able to escape without injuries.

He is now staying with family.
