Three people are facing charges after a pursuit and standoff Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Bristol, Virginia Police Department, an officer tried to stop a car on Lester Street around 1:20 p.m. when the driver fled a short distance to a house on Russell Street. They say a man and a woman then ran from the car.

Officers arrested the female, identified as 24-year-old Audrey Miller.

A citizen told police they saw the male driver beat on the door at 816 Maple Street and run inside once the door was opened.

Officers set up a perimeter around the house and requested nearby People, Inc. to go on lockdown. A SWAT team responded with an armored vehicle.

After obtaining a search warrant, police entered the house. Inside, they found 28-year-old Amber Leigh McGee hiding in a wall cutout behind a piece of furniture.

They discovered the male driver, identified as 41-year-old Kevin J. Reece, in the home’s attic but he refused to come out. Officers deployed a flashbang and took him into custody.

Police say the flashbang caused minor injury to Reece’s foot, but no other injuries were reported.

Reece has been charged with felony eluding police and possession with intent to distribute over 10 grams of methamphetamine.

Miller and McGee are facing felony probation violation charges.
