Suspect arrested in Pittsylvania Co. shooting

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Pittsylvania County Sherriff’s Office is investigating a Sunday morning shooting.

Around 1:30 a.m. police were called to the scene of a shooting, in the 8000 block of west Gretna Rd.

When they arrived on the scene they found a victim with a gunshot wound, laying on the side of the road. He was transported to a local hospital.

The suspect 60-year-old Michael Randolpoh Vaughn, of Chatham was arrested at the scene. He is being charged with Felonious Assault and is currently being held without bond, in the Pittsylvania County Jail. 

Vaughn faces up to 20 years in jail and a fine not more than $100,000.
