State Police investigating fatal Franklin County crash

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia State Police is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Friday evening on Route 636, just east of Route 677 in Franklin County.

The driver of a 1998 Buick Le Sabre was traveling west of Route 636 when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned.

The driver, Timothy Ray Muterspaugh, II, 28 of Rocky Mount was killed. He was wearing a seat belt.
