BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia State Police are investigating a single car crash that left a man dead early Saturday morning.
Officials say a Ford F-250 was traveling east on Route 24 when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, crossed the roadway, and struck a tree.
The driver has been identified as Brian Michael Martin, 35, of Evington, Va. He was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
Police believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The crash is currently under investigation.
