Shots fired in Roanoke neighborhood

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Roanoke Police confirm reports of shots fire on Sunday afternoon.

Police say the shots were fired around the 1500 block of Abbott Street NW at about 12:20 p.m. There are no reports of injuries. Police are working with witnesses to determine further details.

A WFXR reporter arrived on the active scene to find police officers putting crime scene tape around a white vehicle with fender damage that was up against a tree in someone’s yard. It is currently unclear if there is a connection between that vehicle and the shooting.
