Second dog stolen in Campbell County

UPDATE 9:00 P.M.:

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office reports the American Pitbull puppy has been recovered.

Investigators received a call around 7:30 p.m. indicating the animal was located within the vicinity of the homeowners’ property.

They are still searching for the German Shepherd puppy.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A puppy has been stolen in the area of Grandview and Pigeon Run Roads, located in Gladys — this is the second occurrence in Campbell County involving a stolen animal.

Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is seeking assistance in finding an American Pitbull puppy, named Lector. According to authorities, he is unaltered, black and white in coloring, and very friendly.

Several reports of larcenies have been reported in this area in the past few weeks.

Another incident occurred in the vicinity of Bear Creek and Bethany Roads in Rustburg during the evening hours of June 7 or early morning hours of June 8. During the breaking and entering, the homeowner’s twelve-week-old German Shepherd puppy was stolen. It has not been recovered.

Investigators are encouraging citizens to report suspicious activity and take extra precaution.
