SALEM, Va. (WFXR) — A Salem man has been arrested and charged with seven felony counts of possession of child pornography.

David. M. Farley, 71 of Salem, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 3, as part of an ongoing child pornography investigation being conducted by the department, police said.

“Salem Police Detectives, with assistance from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), have determined that the digital photographs in question in this investigation were viewed and stored at Farley’s residence in Salem,” the agency told WFXRtv.com. “The photographs appear to contain images of juveniles under the age of 18.”

Following the arrest, Farley was released by the Roanoke County/Salem Magistrate on an unsecured bond.

Salem Police say the child pornography investigation continues.
