ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — The Roanoke City Police Department is investigating a robbery at the GNC store in the Towers Shopping Center. The call came in at 6:03 p.m., on Tuesday.

According to Sgt. Perez, a man, wearing dark clothing, sunglasses, and a backpack demanded money from the register. He did not show the victim a weapon and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured. Police were told the accused robber walked east out of the store when people lost sight of him. So far, they have not made an arrest.
