Roanoke announces street closures Friday, Saturday

ROANOKE, Va. (WFXR) — Multiple street closures will occur Friday and Saturday associated with events in Roanoke City.

Road closures begin Friday, August 30, with the shut down of Market Street between Campbell and Kirk Avenues beginning at 6 p.m., an announcement from the city said. Market Street should re-open by midnight.

Roanoke’s Labor Day Parade will close several streets on Saturday, August 31, between 10 a.m. and noon. The following streets will close Saturday for the parade:

  • 3rd Street between Church and Campbell Avenues;
  • Campbell Avenue between Jefferson Street and Williamson Road (Campbell Avenue will not close until 10:45 a.m.); and
  • Market Street between Campbell and Salem Avenues.
