RICHMOND, Va. (WFXR) – The Virginia State Police Association is bringing back its Trooper Teddy Bear Program.

You may notice that all troopers will have an official “Teddy” riding along with them keeping them company in their vehicles.

Of course, that’s not the sole purpose of the program.

These bears will ultimately be handed out to children who have been involved in traffic crashes or other traumatic incidents in hopes that the bears would be a comfort to them when they need them.
