Senior Alert issued for missing Harrisonburg man

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Virginia State Police has issued a Senior Alert for a man who has been reported missing in Harrisonburg. The alert has been issued on behalf of the Harrisonburg Police Department.

Harrisonburg Police say that Rodney Dwight Tumboo was last seen Sunday, Aug. 1 at 7 a.m. on East Rock Street in Harrisonburg.

Tumboo is described as a 79-year-old man who is, five feet nine inches tall, weights 247 pounds, and has hazel eyes and gray hair.

He is possibly wearing a brown/black plaid shirt with tan shorts and could be traveling in a 2016 dark gray Jeep Patriot with Virginia license plate UND9050.

Tumboo is said to suffer from cognitive impairment and his disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety.
