Sen. Warner shares stories about Virginians’ mail problems amid USPS delays

Virginia News

(WFXR) — U.S. Sen. Mark Warner posted a video on Twitter Wednesday afternoon sharing a few stories from fellow Virginians about the impact of the ongoing U.S. Postal Service delays on their lives and their mail.

“The problem isn’t the postal workers; they are working their hearts out,” Warner said. “This is because there has been a series of management changes that need to be corrected or we need to get a new postmaster general.”

From delayed bills and medications to misplaced official documents and holiday presents, Warner shared the stories of several Virginians’ experiences with USPS.

Even the senator has experienced a significant delay in his mail, with a birthday card sent to him on Dec. 11, 2020 not arriving at his home until Feb. 5, 2021.

If you or someone you know has experience recent delays with your mail, Warner encourages you to fill out this survey.
