NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WFXR) – A new poll from Christopher Newport University says Virginia voters largely favor changes to current U.S. policy on health care and climate change.

The poll indicates 76-percent of those surveyed say they support a “Medicare for all that want it” program.

A creation of a public option for health insurance also ranked high at 70-percent.

Just over half (51%) say they want a repeal and replacement of the Affordable Care Act.

On environmental policy, nearly two-thirds (65%) of those surveyed say they support a “Green New Deal” to address climate change.
