UPDATE: Nationwide system outage resolved, Virginia DMV says

UPDATE 1:40 p.m.: The Virginia DMV says the nationwide system outage has been resolved and all driver’s license transactions are processing once again at DMV offices.

(WFXR) — The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is experiencing some technical difficulties Friday afternoon because of a system outage.

The Virginia DMV posted on Facebook shortly after 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, that an outage of a nationwide system is resulting in issues while processing driver’s license transactions.

If you have an appointment with the DMV, you are asked to be patient in hope the issue is resolved soon.
