(WFXR) — More than 188,000 lottery tickets bought in Virginia ended up winning prizes in Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing, with four of those tickets even bringing home $10,000!
According to the Virginia Lottery, the four $10,000 tickets — which matched four of the first five numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number — were bought at the following stores:
- Giant Food at 10346 Courthouse Road in Spotsylvania
- 7-Eleven at 13821 Heathcote Boulevard in Gainesville
- 7-Eleven at 2256 Red Tide Road in Virginia Beach
- Ashley’s Market at 6445 Rockfish Valley Highway in Afton
Lottery officials say the winning numbers on Tuesday, July 26 were 7-29-60-63-66, with a Mega Ball number of 15.
However, no ticket in Virginia or any other state matched all six numbers to claim the $830 million jackpot on Tuesday, which means the jackpot for the next drawing on Friday, July 29 has grown to an estimated $1.025 billion, the Virginia Lottery says.
Mega Millions drawings are reportedly held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m.
You can buy Mega Millions tickets at any of more than 5,000 retail businesses across the Commonwealth or on the Virginia Lottery website.
Lottery officials say that the odds of matching all six numbers to win the Mega Millions jackpot are one in 302,575,350, but the odds of winning any prize — which range from $2 all the way up to the jackpot — are one in 24.
